    Finally here in Galesburg!

So here is a short summary of Wednesday and the trip to Galesburg.

Tina and I woke up at 4:00AM to the sound of thunder, for some reason the old song from CCR ran through my head, "Looks like were in for nasty weather" Bad Moon Rising I slept in until 6:00AM convinced we would have no problem leaving at 9:00AM. After getting up and having coffie, Tina was getting frustrated with here embrodery machine as she is selling polo shirts with the new BNSF logo. I went to go check Trainboard to check on messeges left by Trainboard member ppuinn. His layout was on the way along with other intrest.

The rain kept coming, harder and harder. The original plan was to leave with the Jeeps top up without windows, but with the rain that soon changed. This really slowed down packing with the down pour and all. I called Harry (Littlegiant) and told him we were having bad weather and we would be late getting into Galesburg. Finally at 10:00AM the rain stopped and we packed the Jeep

So here is what is in the cargo hold: Spray booth, compressor, airbrush, tool box and other support equipment for the seminars, Tina's embroidery machine, portable gas grill, four boxes of Trainboard T-Shirts, BNSF and BN polo shirts, suitcase, camera, video camera, digital camer, binoculars, tripod, 2 portable chairs, small table, cooler with hamburger, hotdogs and other food, water, soda, two complete airbrushes for door prizes, two airbrush sets for door prizes, computer, dolly, and my locomotives. So packed and ready we finally left Rockford at 1:00PM.

I won't be able to join the group for dinner, but I'll be there at Galesburg late this afternoon and tomorrow.

I'll be wearing a Santa Fe PA loco shirt and khaki shorts tomorrow.

SD70BNSF, thanks for letting me know, list has been updated. Two things guys. We have at least one maybe two distinguished guests joing us tomorow night. Dick Meagan of the CB&Q historical society and maybe Bill Selleck. Dick worked on both the CB&Q and BN and is a wonderful person to talk to. Bill is known for his wonderful website on Galesburg RR Days and his CB&Q Galesburg Station that will be on display at the train show. We also have a few of the N-Trak modelers from NTBN and Milwaukee N-Trak join us as well.

Second thing, Harry went to The Steak House to get reservations for us and was surprised to find the resturant was defunct! So Tina was able to get reservations at another fine dining resturant The Prairie Inn Homestead Room. I have been assured by Harry that the food is very good. We will give out instructions tomorow night on how to get there.

So that is it, hope to see you all tomorow night. Looking forward in seeing you all.

    Jim
