I've seen a thread about grafitti and Alan's post got me thinking about how RRs do their paintwork. Why sometimes RRs will send their locos to outside paintshop like WSOR's Horicon shop or CEECO instead of doing it themselves? Cost? Special paint that will withstand "spraycan art"? what happens when an ad wrap comes off cars/loco? SRT's didn't look good because it leaves adhesive residue to gobble up dust and looks dirty or take out the original paint job.mg:
