You are bumping into the reason I broke up my recent videos into parts where one video starts exactly where the other leaves off. Videos are major resource hogs, space to store and all sort of computer resourses when being played. This is why not to many places offer free services for these and limit their size / length. The YouTube format works so well with websites it's hard to not use them and play within their rules.

How do you break your vids up? Is there a special program to do that or a site?

Reminds me of looking out of a GP-40 going up the Southern Tier to Port Jervis. Just slower.

    I have video editing software...

There are various $$$ costs based on how complex the software is, so if you are just going to do it for YouTube posting go cheep but if you are doing this to build home or professional DVD / Blu-Ray movies then go with a higher end software.

Here is one I broke up into 5 Parts just recently to fit YouTube requirements that I added in backgrpund music and a few overlay titles. Nothing complex to do but you need the video editing software to do it. Each are about 3 to 4 minutes long, ~80MB in size, and each start exactly where the other left off in within my original raw video.

Here is another set where I left in the audio that was captured so you can hear the sounds of the train operations. It's basically what you are doing with the Bat Cave clips, you just need some simple software that can break up your 10+ minute clips into a set of shorter clips to fit under the YouTube limits. I know I would seriously enjoy seeing your entire line from the right seat in day and night operations as it gives me the feeling of being there with you! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Wow, the sound! Awesome!
The tunnel was neat, too. How long is that bat cave tunnel? Half a mile? FWIW, I used Windows movie maker for my few vids.

Here's coming out of the slow order. There is something unique about running at night. The signals look brighter. Shadows play tricks. In mountainious territory like this you run more by feel then sight, as it's hard to tell if the tracks are going up or down from looking at them. Also, day or night, you can see nature at it's finest. WARNING: Not for the faint of heart......but I found Bambi's Dad.

From the other night...a meet. I have an ex-SP SD40 on the point, 7371, an SD45-T2/SD40T-2 behind that. Z389 is running from BHam with the power I was on last night, SD45-T2/SD45. Poor quality, but I'll get better. :)

Barring something unexpected, I have the weekend off. :) Go in Monday and take my final Engineer Exam, then a final check-ride Tuesday, and I will be cut loose to bid on a job. I plan on bidding a day run, depending on how they do the schedules, so I should be getting some better vids. The night running has it's own flare too though. :)

While on your check rides, watch out for those A/C units. They could do some damage & you'll fail.
