I guess I could have posted this under the AC6000 thread, as both of these units are. Here is the lead unit: Harold [ 27 October 2001: Message edited by: chessie ]

And the trailing unit: I thought is was kind of interesting that the units were numbered 684 & 648 Harold [ 27 October 2001: Message edited by: chessie ]

Here's an old GP40 toiling away on a work train (sorry, not a pumpkin, even though Halloween is just days away ) The unit was parked in frnt of the Enfield station. Harold
A closer look at this locomotive reveals its heritage (note the "Seaboard Coast Line" lettering showing through the paint!) Harold
While photographing a southbound train running through downtown Rocky Mount, N.C., a Northbound train appears, powered by a single SD50: Rocky Mount is a great place to photograph trains.... it has a double track main line running through the center of town, a decent sized yard, and lots of action since it is on the CSX main line between Virginia & Florida. I hope to post more photos to my site soon, but need to increase my disk space, as I have exceeded my quota Harold
Great photos Harold, especially the first two in lovely surroundings. I also like the work train shot, short trains make a change! What is the reference "big stick" I wonder? Hope you get your extra 10 megs quick, as the last picture is not showing

I lucked out on the "fall colors" shots, as I was on a highway overpass and could see a headlight way off in the distance. (The line is mostly flat and straight, in many places in eastern North Carolina). I pulled over and waited for the trains approach. (I don't carry a scanner... I just sniff out the trains...usually I get lucky, but sometimes I get skunked ) At first, I thought the SD50 was pulling a work train, (because of the gondolas), but it was a 50+ car mixed freight). The Southbound train that it is passing had 5 or 6 locomotives and was easily 200 cars. As far as the "Big Stick" script on the loco, I have no clue as to why. Harold P.S. I hope TrainWeb comes through with more space soon too... I must admit, I am very impressed with their server reliability and cost
