Were any F40PH's painted in phase IV paint scheme besids the ones that were converted to cab control/baggage cars? If so, does any one know of any photos on the web?

It's located at: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/Amtrak.html Here's one of the pages on the site showing F40PHs - if you scroll down to Amtrak 398, 401, and others, you'll see photos of one Phase IV variation: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/amtF391_409.html There's also one that looks more like the old Phase III scheme, with the black roof and cab area. You can find a couple on this page in the Archives, including Amtrak 374: http://lib2.clark.cc.oh.us/amtrak/amtF360_390.html Hope that helps! Dave
Several F40's were painted in Phase IV, for example #374, #358, & #354 all used on the Heartland Flyer. Some of the 400 series were painted in a "Grey Ghost" scheme where the entire engine was painted silver with the IV stripes. Ron Herendeen
