Does anyone else buy the Magazine-style tapes from Transport Video Publishing, called "Eurotrack"?

I have them all from #1 to #9 (just received). They are about an hour long, and cost only £12 (about $18), and are excellent value.

They have profiles of various good train-watching spots, or of a locomotive type, etc.

#9 includes Hamburg yard in Germany (the largest yard in Europe), Charleroi in Belgium, Olten in Switzerland, Worgl in Austria, also Czech Republic, and Denmark.

Plus a look (and listen!) to the British class 37 diesels at work in the south of France, on the new high speed line work trains. Some of the trains have four locomotives, on 1 in 28 grades!!

These tapes show the huge variety of trains to be found around Europe. [IMG]

Alan, would these tapes fit our VHS / VCR video / TV players here in the USA?

Sorry, Watash, they are on our PAL system, and I don't think they do them in NTSC.

Unless your recorder will take PAL. (Mine will take NTSC as well as PAL, apparently it automatically detects the format [IMG] )

Two recent tapes in the series has some of the British class 37 diesels, hired by the French for the construction of the TGV line in the south. They are seen (and heard!!!) in twos, threes or fours with heavy construction trains on VERY steep grades.

The drivers seem to be thoroughly enjoying thrashing them :D

    Well worth the asking price.
