CLUE: one of three Class I yards in the general vicinity. All of which are owned by the same railroad!
I can think of a fair number of possible sites, "vicinity", but actually I have not had time to look yet. I just got one of my old computers back together, and still have a couple of other distractions ongoing. Perhaps later today... What is the definition of vicinity? How many miles radius?
Well, from my side it was a battle to get first, and now I think I got it. +37° 10' 28.73", -77° 25' 14.88" (37.174646, -77.420799) Petersburg, Virginia I think it must be CSX, since that's the locomotives I see there.
I just took a look. I'm on the fence with this one!! Everything seems to match up, but yet, the track arrangement seems slightly off? Could it be that it IS the same location, but two different photos?? I started thinking that, with the position of cars in the yard. Just MY thoughts and brief observations. And to think, I was aiming for BNSF/UP out west - California, Oregon, Washington etc.... Boy was I slightly off!! hboy:
