Glad to see I'm not the only one with the Ebay blues.... but in fairness, I have had a few great buys that turned out to be trainboard brothers! It's not all that bad if you know what to look for. Also, I only run one obscure railroad (well obscure judging by N scale model availability LOL) and it helps me keep the spending in check! And yeah, those static N scale junkers.... I never thought I would see a 1:160 product worse that 1970's Model Power & Bachmann trainset stuff. I was wrong!!

You must have seen the MT blue label boxcars I had listed earlier this month. I believe I used all of those buzzwords. Some of the cars were from '73 and still had the "factory air" though. I think I'll have to use "factory air" in my next listing. [IMG]

I just got a brand new IM CB&Q boxcar w/Accumates for $3.34. With shipping, still less than $9. Like everything else, you take the good with the bad on eBay.

    Well now....
I have baught almost all of my train models on the Bay, and the good outwieghs the bad about 10 to 1. Most sellers will try to mollify an unsatisfied buyer....the bay' regulations almost force them to....! I have gotten full refunds with no return of the merchendise, and gotten lectures about the seller providing a "special service". I still go there....the closest LHS is 300K away!

Yes, I'd agree a lot of sellers haven't a clue. An office colleague - retired a couple of months after I did - once bought a sitar for 20GBP. Parcel arrives and he thinks it's a bit big for a sitar. Opens the parcel. It contains two sitars and a clarinet! My colleague was overjoyed. Sold them on at 50GBP each . . .

    Regards,

    Pete Davies
