The Dakota Minnesota & Eastern announced today that it has entered an agreement to purchase the I&M Rail Link. Here's the press release. This combined with it's PRB extension makes for some exciting times in the Upper Midwest/Northern Plains. Btw, anybody know if MRL is up for sale, too? Dwight
Actually, just the opposite, last I heard. Rumor has been that Dennis Washington (owner of MRL, I&MRL, the old BC Hydro railway, etc) might buy the BC Rail from the province of British Columbia. We'll see.
