Hello, I am using DCC++ with an Arduino UNO, Arduino motor shield and a 12V DC power supply to run N scale locomotives. I only have a small 4 x 8 test track setup and run new Kato SD40-2 with Digitrax DN163K1C decoders. I noticed that when the throttle in DCC++ is set to 65 out of 126 speed steps, the locomotives reach max speed. It made no difference when I used a 15V DC battery to power the motor shield. The decoders are all factory reset and the CV values for speed control are default: CV05 = 255 = MAX Voltage. The same problem occurs when I use a brand new ESU-LokSound decoder. Did anybody else notice the ~50% speed offset? Should I be setting CV05 to 128 instead to get the full 126 speed steps in DCC++? Thank you, Maximilian
