I am looking to see if anyone has the code to make your own 4, 5, or even 8 functions, and can be used with DIGITRAX systems. I am a retired electronics engineer, and I am looking to make my own decoders, as I can do the hardware, VERY easily, and make bords really cheap. I'm just NOT a programmer, at 64, I keep working at it, but, it is taking forever, and I would like to make them before i expire!!! lol!!!! Thanks everyone for reading, and responding!!!!
Take a look at Dr Bunza's blog- https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/blog/geoff-bunza One of his projects is a Arduino Pro Mini 17 function decoder. Bill
Thank you!! I DID see that one. I am looking for a function decoder to install in a Locomotive, using a NANO as the controller. I am unsure if the stationary decoder is set up for CV values that the locomotive uses. I just thought it made SOME sense. After all, you can setup a NANO and it would have extra outputs, and the ability to do sound and other effects, and in mosst cases, is a hell of a lot cheaper than ones you can buy, and very flexible for usage as a FUNCTION decoder.(or MOBILE DECODER).
Have look at rudysmodelrailway and http://usuaris.tinet.cat/fmco/home_en.htm, about halve way down the page. Will program but doesn't have CV feedback included.
