Harold I just love that new lighted antenna on the cab roof of NS8943 (chuckle) I think McCulloch makes a pole filter. <g> We see a few NS units on the UP here in Tucson AZ but none of the C44-9W's. Thanks for posting these photos. NS and its predecessors, N&W and Southern, epitomize the "Class" in Class 1 railroading. Happy Holidays Don Brown Tucson AZ

quote:
Originally posted by Davecn5623: very cool cheesie , I love NS's paint scheme , the paint jobs make them look tough

I am still having a hard time getting adjusted to the NS wide nose cab look. Heck, I am still having a hard time getting adjusted to ANY cab that has a low hood! I just got some more webspace on TrainWeb and another photo editing program, so I plan to redo some of these images and add more to my webpage. Harold
You fellas might be interested in visiting my site and using the latest "toy" that I added. When you get to the site, simply go to the prototype/railfan home page. You can vote for which locomotive you most often see leading NS trains. (Trust me, you'll like it.)
Hey CNO&TP they southern painted geep is in St.Louis right now.saw it last weekend.Pretty weird to see that thing on a train.Too bad they don't have any of the old N&W stuff painted up.I liked it much better.
