At first, I did not think I would be able to attend this years Railfair at the Danbury Railway Museum. I was committed to work a Special Olympics event. Luckily, we finished early so I was able to get to the DRM for a few hours in the afternoon. I will only post this one picture because it says a lot about why all this railfanning, museums, etc. are here. I wil put a link below this picture to the rest of them. The rest of the pix are here, or will be. Five of them are posted so far. http://public.fotki.com/Peirce/railroad/drm_railfair_2003/ Feel free to leave comments in the spaces proveded after you click on the thumbnail for each image.
Great shots Peirce! I really wish that I would have been able to make it. I am glad to see the RDC is running and can't wait to take a ride on it! BTW- did you get your print signed? Happy railroading! Russ
Yes, I picked up my copy--number 3 of 200. I also picked up the one ordered by the truck museum and will deliver it the them tomorrow.
Here is the print Russ referred to. It is a lithograph print of an original watercolor by Neilly. The artist donated 200 prints to the museum to aid in fundraising for the restoration of steam engine 1455. Some details and an order form. I will also be posting this in the Cattle Car, and, possibily other fora, with Admin's permission. (This is a fund raiser, not a commercial ad.) [ 13. May 2003, 03:02: Message edited by: Peirce ]
