CP GP38AC 3005 was released earlier this month from Alyth shops in Calgary. The Engine is still in E&N Green paint, but the yellow striping along the side of the long hood, and is gone from the nose. The engine is now in the current CP style lettering, but has no beaver logo. If anyone wants to see the photo, please post to the list, and I will give the address link on here ------------------ J.E. Pindar Webmaster-Canadian Pacific Railway Resources http://cpr.railfan.net
Hiya, The 3005 was in Coquitlam BC on Thursday! It still has a yallow bell, and in parts yellow walk ways are still present! It really made me want to puke whan I saw it, the green doesn't match!!!!!! Have a good day, ------------------ //BC Rail King
Well gren may not match, but, at least it is a change from the normal, kinda like those ex-GATX (nee UP) SD40-2's floating around still Then again, those former Guilford GP40-2s here in the east even tho some think they are so ugly, they tend to grow on you after a while ------------------ J.E. Here locally in Toledo Ohio I saw one of those CP ex GATX nee Gulford ex nee Boston & Maine GP40-2 a few days ago on a NS frieght (it was running with a EX CR SD40-2 that looked like each of its doors came off another unit because they all were a differnt shade of blue) The CP GP40-2 still had the Gulford Black and orange with GATX lettering with the CP painted on the cab and it had some sections of blue showing though chipped paint. It was one UGLY unit ------------------ LONG LIVE THE KITTEN!!!

The fact is CP never uses the same shades at it's 3 shops. And the fact that they use many brands and sometimes mixes the brands of paint used Therefore making it impossible for modelers to settle in on one paint colour. The unit will sooner or later be painted into the Beaver scheme. Daniel D
