After a move to a other Location the old shelf layout did not meet my expectations, So it was time for a new start.

Hi, thats not a Ikea shelf this one is called RS Regal and is from a smaller furniture store.
Weekend work was drilling hole for whole elektric and put the cables under the layout , next step will be laying the rail and solder the connections.

Finished the trackwork and did an analog testrun, next will be finish the electrics

After doing the wirethings, the Coyote Gulch RR worktrain was on the track.

 

The loco was a Minitrix N Scale 12039 Class 2MT 2-6-0

 

Before making the groundwork i did a test with my buildings on the layout , in comparison to my other buildings the woodland station is so huge that I think it´s not useable on this layout.

What are the radii of your curves?

 

the curves are 9 3/4" and yes to small, but there is not enough space in the shelf.

 

I have the same problem: not enough space to make broader curves. And with smaller equiment, it works fine, but I have some beautifull coaches from Rapido and they don't like that kind of curves........
