Hi. I've been inactive in TB for 6 Mos. Needed a rest from the hobby and now need help with HO track plans for an odd 8'x8' L shape bench with both wings tapering from 2' wide each (= 4 Sq. feet in corner) down to 6" at both ends. At each end I will have 6"x 2' extensions = 10' total length of each wing. With such small space for HO, perhaps it'll depict a small industrial town/yard and engine house (one 4-6-0/ a modernized 4-4-0' /maybe my mogul if I get it fixed. Sound died/ one L&N RS3..all Bmann. Am picturing an upper single track/sub-roadbed ply coming from right wing above lower 6"x 2' and having same dimensions, both upper and lower acting as 0-5-0 staging tracks into the initial 8x8 upper, descending on a 90 Deg wide curve with 2-3% grade down to the 2'x 6" extension on the end of left wing with a 2' switchback tail on IT.. I see this as the way up/down for road-switcher to come into scene from imagined main line 6" higher up in rear of bench.. Phew !
But it also could be an all flat track plan..I believe it's ample size for a switching layout and am pretty set on this sub-roadbed design. But hoping one of you might have a better plan I'm completely oblivious to within these confines. Thanks, Mark

PS. Returning to TBoard, I was glad to see that prior log-in glitch, where at the original home page we had to first click it to log on, is gone, as were those unnecessary dowel-like figures that were on the left of screen. Looks good now..
