Could this be a perfect N scale HCD?

I was recently given a copy of a 1976 Southern Pacific SPINS (Southern Pacific Industrial Numbering System), which is a track map given out to train crews. I was originally looking at it for more information about the old Pacific Electric Santa Monica Airline when my eyes were drawn to Culver City, CA. While it doesn't show the buildings, it does show all streets and tracks, plus the length of all spurs....while I have no desire to model this, it is too neat of a prototype to pass up for someone who wants to do some urban industrial modeling....

It would be a fun layout to build. One could add a little bit of selective compression and artistic license to condense it as the area looks pretty big. I would be tempted to make an oval in there too. ;)

Funny thing is that I remember seeing paved over rail in this area around 2003 and not knowing anything about it

I am sort of amused by the HCD obsession. This would be more ideal as a 3x5. Or any other combo of dimensions.

I sort of like building benchwork, so just having a door takes some fun out of things. :)

Yeah all the track is gone, but it's imprint is certainly still there. A lot of the buildings are still showing it.

The alley between Stellar and Warner was repaved since I was there...it was rather bumpy then...
