just looked at the new n scale turntable up coming release and would like to know the lenghth of the bridge, anyone care to comment. iwould hope i could get my bachmann mountain on it. also it does not say anywhere if its dcc ready. while on that subject would it still be possible to use it on a dcc system with just the bridge dc. i am sure i have seen a video on a dc walthers turntable with a fellow using dcc .would some one be so kind to explain the electrics on this . also if the kato turntable is dcc only what in your opion would be needed to make it work with my nce power cab system. any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
    regards&later KEWATIN:)

Relative to the SD40-2 shown in one of the videos, the bridge appears to be just about 6" long.

The official Kato USA video shows it being operated from a special power pack that looks like their standard DC power pack with different knobs and switches. It also has a manual direction switch, but based on what we have seen, I can't tell if it is just passing through track current or what.
I doubt it will come DCC "plug and play" ready, although I'm cautiously optimistic that it would DCC safe. That is, so long as you use their special power pack and maybe manually throw the direction, it will be compatible. There's too many variables to speculate too far on and there's not be too many official statements past that one video. It's not on the release schedule through May, so they may still be working on details.
