GATS has made photo of the week on Bob Russells site. Gary has modified a Lifelike GP20. You can have a look at the picture at this site. http://members.aol.com/CabForward/potw.html ------------------ http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pcassar/index
Thanks, Colonel. Bob had lost the original email I sent him and asked for it to be resent. Anyone that hasn't taken to time to look at Bob Russell's Orange Belt Lines, I recommend doing so. Gary. ------------------ Gary A. Rose The Unofficial TC&W page N to the Nth degree!
Nice job, Gats! I must get on and do my GP20 detailing, but for BNSF. I have also bookmarked Orange Belt Lines site ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
Awesome.. How well do the LL-GP-20's run? I am weary of LL, as you may have read my inquery about the wheel flanges. are they as reliable as the switchers? ------------------ espee2 Home: www.tunnel13.com layout: SP's Newberg Branch in N scale
No worries about the LL GP20's, espee. They are a 'new breed' from LL, and run very well! ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery [This message has been edited by Alan (edited 04 June 2000).]

Thanks guys! Espee2 - The GP20's run just fine. Maybe not quite to the same quality as Atlas and Kato but, for under 1/2 the others price here, they are excellent value and make great chassis candidates for Paducah rebuilds (plus you can use the cab easily with Atlas bodies). OK, I'll try this again. (I'd love to see it to! ) http://cencalrails.railfan.net/bnsf1.jpg OK......hope it works.......... ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing
YYEEESSS!!! I'm glad that worked! I was getting real PO'ed. That locomotive doesn't have the steps painted white (for safety) and some other things are missing but you get the idea. ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing
Thanks!!!! I am speaking for all of us when I say, I truly appreciate that!!! ------------------ Craig Martyn BLMA(best looking models around) Custom painting and detailing

Craig, the cab appears to be a 'normal' cab. Should it have the 'gull-wing' cab? I would love to have a C44 in H2, but if I get a ATSF/BNSF unit to repaint, the front handrails are wrong, and the other types with the correct handrails have the wrong cab! (Unless BNSF now has the 'normal' cab). If you can undersand what I am talking about ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
Nice shot, Craig. Alan, the roof is correct for the BNSF delivered C44's. The gull-wing was only on the ATSF delivered units. Also, I need to find the shots of the BNSF (BN/ATSF) GP20's, that I caught at VMV last Oct, for you. Might be of interest for detailing. And yes, Dan, the only way to fly - the BN way Gary.
