CSX had a route from montgomery ala to selma then old l and n to myrtlewood. now all m and b route. could spend some money to up grade from montgomery to selma and then help the m and b and connect with the speed way at meridan. should be no more than 10 or less trains to new orleans .
Hi GWD, welcome to the TrainBoard. You describe an interesting routing for CSX trains if they abandoned the NO&M sub. I was aware that the Meridian & Bigbee went north out of Meridian, but not that it went south and east. Are there maps or an atlas of all serviceable tracks in AL, GA, and MS, including the obscure privately-owned companies?
