Does having a college degree in management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln matter in hiring? BTW i did fairly well, 3.3 gpa and a 3.7 gpa with my major classes.

    Welcome to TrainBoard!

From what I have heard and read, a degree can certainly be a plus for you.

Yes I hope so. Railroading is all I want to do, and want to make sure I can get on as soon as possible. Thanks for your kind words, hopefully I can get on as soon as possible so I can share some interesting stories!

Please do! I could never work for a RR, due to health issues. But I grew up in a family of many in RRing. I did work in the industry, and have met a lot of folks, had some great friends. The best fun in it all has always been the stories they'd tell.

I'm sorry to hear that! At least you didn't have to be on call 365/24/7 or at least I hope not :)
