One of my most awaited releases this year was the CMW 50’s Fire Engines, I’ve waited for these for years. I just checked an online vendor’s website and it says they have been cancelled :-(. Anyone know why? Living in a state beset with massive wildfires, I was very sad to see that the fire engines got chopped, I wanted a few on the layout to celebrate the firefighters that have fought so hard this year.
Follow up: I emailed and heard back from CMW. Evidently a tooling issue forced the cancellation of the N Scale Fire Trucks. :-(
OH crap! It would have been nice to have an alternative to the GHQ and Athearn trucks, especially one which was of an earlier period.
Hey guys, don't forget that Showcase Miniatures do two nice fire trucks from that era, a Mack and an International.
So much for stocking and manning my fire department. I would welcome some decent models of fire trucks from the 40's, 50's and 60's. Sadly, we are in a time of questions. What's going to happen next? Will I be able to protect my family and home? Manufacturers are pulling back a bit and our fire trucks are suffering the consequences. Timing is everything.
