I'm trying yet one more "G" posting here, perhaps in vain...? Some time ago I asked about what scale to use for G buildings...1:20.3, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:29, or whatever. It appeared not to matter, and that 1:24 was pretty well good enough. Fair enough. However, what would be a reasonable CLEARANCE to use when an engine or cars have to go inside a structure ??? Examples would be a tunnel portal, enginehouse doors, a through truss bridge, or a coal dock where a hopper needs to go inside a building....any opinion on what the SIDE and VERTICAL clearance should be...sized for 1:20.3, or what ??? thanks / Mike
I use 7 inches between the centers if 2 tracks, Close enough to look good and far apart enough to be able to set more cars on the rails
