Chessie System featured in music video. 1985.

Here is a link to a 1985 music video "Driver 8" by REM. Lots of good Chessie footage used. The song makes a reference to the Southern Railway's Crescent but Chessie was filmed. The music video actually starts two minutes beyond the intro junk. So stay tuned, it's worth it.

Wow! Must have been some Super 8mm film - sure would like to know more about it!

 

I think this video was shot in Huntington, West Virginia. It looks like the 2nd engine on the switch job is a C&O Gp-7? or Gp-9?
