While out spending quality time with the family. I came upon a real find. I found some matchbox cars from the 60s-70's. The site truck had a shed on it. It scaled out 15 x 23 x 10 high side walls with a 8 foot door. I covered the two windows with some scrap clear plastic and a new shed was born. All you have to do is paint it to your favorite color. Also the roof comes off as well. I also bought two other trucks one with a girder load that measured 28' and one with pipes. Those will make great loads or stock piles. The best part each truck was a nickel. Talk about cheap parts. Thought I would let everybody know so if your inclined you may pick up for future projects on your pike. Larry
I almost thought you were going to say you found a nice 20 x 30 used metal building to set up on your land, for a huge layout!
I like cheap stuff. Bought a toy log cabin for a dime at a garage sale and with a "little" work... Got a BRONZE replica of an offshore oil rig, approx N scale, for $3 at a garage sale. It was a safety trophy. Got a classic looking building that might be a federal office for 5 cents at a yard sale. And lots of other stuff that MIGHT be something someday if I can figure out WHAT?
