Okay all ya Canadians that roam the N scale board what CANADIAN product would you like to see? I wouldn't say Canada doesn't have alot in N scale, but it wouldn't heart to have more. I think I would say something more modern, like a CNR/BCR/QNS&L C40-8M or something on those lines. Canada, as I have started to notice has a bigger market than some would have thought. And non-Canadians, what Canadian thing would you like to have crawl along your tracks?

    Happy Railroading!!

Southern New Brunswick Rail but I doubt the manufactures will be climbing over each other to churn the stuff out.

As always, I would like to see some Canadian steam. Some of the old workhorses like the mountain class. Sigh [IMG] doesn't look like I could expect anything as the market is too narrow.

Seeing BNSF and CN/IC are going to get things together (I hope), I'd love to see some CN SD75I/M's!

I would in particular like to see more motive power available in Canadian road names. There seems to be a movement afoot on the part of manufacturers to ignore Canadian equipment.

If I had my druthers I would like to see some CP AC4400's.

I dunno, it is just that most of the recent models can't be in Canadian road names. Atlas did the SOO SD60, and that was a hidden blessing for people as they have made there way to Canada's far east and west as you can easily find them !

Their road # are 5864&5904.Can any of you guys tell me what paint scheme they are painted in now.Does anybody make the right CP red for the pac man scheme?

    Just Kidding.

I have some interest in CN and CP. Both roads have pretty large opereations here in Minnesota. CP has a large intermodal facility which used to be a service area (steam) for the old SOO Line. My interest in CN is in part because of the proposed merger with BNSF. But also, CN has some interesting history. On my last trip to Duluth, I saw a pair of CN SD40-2 with the striping crossing I35....was that a cool sight. I remember my first Model Railroader magazine had an article on a layout based on VIA. It was very cool.

He He He, I see more Americans in Vancouver during the summer than canucks!

also-I was thinkin that for the general market an SD40-2F may sell well. It is a very interesting locomotive.

I live 2 blocks from the border and I see more Canadians than Americans around here. Canada wraps around the town I live in on 3 sides. We're surrounded by Canada on 3 of 4 sides.

This is a response to Mtaylor. 51st. state eh!! You must be one of those who comes to visit Canada in mid summer with skiis on the roof rack and asking "Where is the snow"? [IMG] We are a proud country with a great heritage and would not even think of joining the USA. [IMG]
Nuff said, we are all friends aren't we?

uummmmm.......I was just kidding guys. Anyways, I know Canada does not have snow in the summer (unless you you way way north. BTW, what is north of the providences?) Anyways, I grew and now live again in Minnesota. I have been to Canada a bunch of times (mainly fishing and canoing around the boundry waters between Canada and Minnesota). Also can not forget about the Lake of the Woods. Besides, Canada could not be a 51st state. It would be way to confusing having that English, French, and Spanish mix going. To be honest, I do not know alot about Canadian history. Rather odd that I know more about Mexico and Asia than I do Canada living so darn close. Anyways, nuff said. Let's get back on target (I know I started it [IMG])

I do not remember CP rail and CN owning operations in the states when I was growing up in MN. Is this all part of NAFTA? How large is CN compared to CP Rail?

    Matt

(I did not mean to get all you Canadian dudes upset geeez.)

It seems you struck a nationalistic cord. Believe it or not while we're not a bunch of flag wavers, we are very proud of our country.

Nice to see that fellow Canadians.

Nonetheless, we have some great railroads up here and it would sure be nice to see more equipment made prototyically correct to match Canadian prototypes.
