My logging industry is almost finished. I seem to have a lot of out buildings. Almost seems too much. So with or without? That is the question. I do have more accessories to add like lumber bales and stacks of trees needing to be milled as well as a stack of pulp wood. Also not sure about the conveyor belt either[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The other day I spent at least an hour just staring at the layout. Knowing something was missing but not sure what. Final conclusion? I need to build a chain link fence.

Kevin, we had this exchange a while back. I am now happy to report I have located the missing cyclones! They were indeed in the last place I looked! It seems I had put together a small box of scenery items in the layout room and had stored them in there for safe keeping..... they were safe ad sound where I had forgot where I put them! Now if I can just remember why I wanted them in the first place! Getting old is such fun!!!

I like how things are progressing on your layout!

It’s always in the last place looked, lol. Thanks! The layout seems to be moving along at a steady pace now. The ideas are just flowing. Now I need to get a #54 drill bit. Thought I had one.

Ok just about time for some sculptamold along the shore line of the lake. Rocks will line the steep shore line area.. Need to find a way to make the back area near the trestle look shallower than the middle. This is representing a back arm of a reservoir.[IMG]

Merry Christmas from Bridge Junction. Took me three weeks to complete. It’s minus a couple items on back order is all and the sound card hasn’t been installed yet either. This is actually a removable scene. It was built on two pieces of mesonite so they could be lifted out. The scene is sitting on a swing bridge that crosses the doorway. I came up with the idea while traveling home from my LHS. I had a Christmas fair kit that I didn’t know what to do with. I think I will continue the theme of winter along the mountain as I finish it up. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Finished my back drop today. I may not be a pro but it looks decent. Nothing like snow capped mountains.

Trying out an idea. Not only is it a working logging railroad but it also has an excursion devision running as a scenic tourist railroad. Which of course will be run with a shay and Heisler with a possible addition of a climax in the future. Here we see Uintah #59 a 2-6-6-2t running the tourist line today. Here is an idea of putting a platform on site of the logging camp for the tourist part. [IMG][IMG]

Being a small town Uintah Junction relies on tourism as well as logging to survive. Here is the Uintah Scenic RR station. [IMG] so far it’s an idea, I will need another platform kit.

Yes they are, never know what mischief bears will get into. And it’s hard to see but one scout has a bear sitting in the tree above him.
