Would it be simpler to just link to this topic? This is the link for that: http://www.trainboard.com/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000065 [ 02. August 2002, 22:28: Message edited by: Martyn Read ]
Well guys thought Id post a pic of our famous bridge commonly known as the coat hangar. It is more famous for it's structure although it does carry the the rail line which links Sydney to the North Shore. Special thanks to GATS for taking this fantastic pic with his digital camera.

This one was sent to me by signalguy for posting. It's the SP/UP RR bridge and road bridge at Benecia, CA with San Pablo Bay in the background. Signalguy says the state is building another highway bridge there for I-680.
Here's a little diddy from the city. The Broadway Bridge over the Harlem River. 7th Ave IRT Line #1 train heading North to the 225th St. station: http://www.nycsubway.org/slides/r62/r62-2325.jpg
Thanks again Fitz. The lift span is the one at the far left of the picture. Most views of this bridge are from the other side of the highway bridge but this was taken from the Suisun Bay side looking to the west. Since this was taken the highway bridge has been expanded fro 4 to 6 lanes and a new bridge is under construction a minimum of 300 feet this side or the UP bridge. When completed the new bridge will be for I-680 east and the old bridge will be for I-680 west. The railroad is the route from Oakland to Sacramento. Ships pass under this bridge enroute to both Sacrament and Stockton where grain is loaded for overseas shipment.
