If anyone in the Chicago metro area wants to take a ride out for a good "grab" shot, there was a lineup of BNSF locomotives in the BRC Clearing yard(possibly 4 or 5 Lead). They appeared to be SD40-2s in the black/green BN and the green/orange "pumpkin" paint jobs. They appeared to be "dead in train" on that track. Cant tell how many there were but the lineup extended as far as I could see towards Pulaski Rd. The head loco was just east of the Cicero Ave overpass. I am not certain of the track number but they could be readily seen. Sorry I cannot give you any more details as I was in heavy traffic going northbound and I couldn't take my eyes off the road for any period of time, nor could I stop and pull over for a lookie-loo. Once again this is on the BRC East Yard poss 4 or 5 Lead. from Cicero Ave east toward Pulaski Rd. Dunno if you can see it from Pulaski but you sure can from Cicero. You will have to be travelling in the northbound lanes for the best look. Possibly park somewhere at either foot of the overpass and use the public sidwalk on the east side of Cicero Ave. to walk up the hill toward the summit of the overpass to get your photos. Lemme know if anybody gets a shot or has info as to what this movement was. My thoughts they are going to the boneyard for scrapping or to a loco leasor. Doubt very much if they were headed for storage. CT
