    What ever happened to the BQ23-7's ? I've only seen one ,that was in Gadsden, ALA.Back in about 86-87,something like that.Bachman made an HO scale BQ23-7,damn things are selling like hot-cakes on E-bay.Neat looking engine ,I would mind getting a hold of one of these.The last time, I sniffed around this subject ,I think CSX was useing them for slugs.With the windows plated up they look even better.She sure is or was an ugly duckling,but uglys better anyway......regards Patrick

    They've been gone from CSX for years. They've gotten rid of all B23's Most B30's and Most B36's.

    If you go back a couple of months in the CSX treads, you will find where "Chessie" :D posted quite a few pics of the BQ23-7's.

    Yes, unfortunately, they are long gone :( As Pat pointed out, pretty much all GE's prior to Dash 8's have been retired. I bet a bunch were used as trade-ins for the CW44AC's.
