Back in 1970 when I was new in the Army and at Ft Devens MA, a buddy invited me to his home for Christmas and we got furlough tickets ( 20$ round trip anywhere in the US the road went ) on a pass train to Wilmington Delaware and I was hoping that some one could point me in the direction to find out more about the road and train we were on. I remember the snow and some of the colors on the trees not yet fallen ... Any one seeing the movie Valley of the Dolls , the scene where Barbra Parkins is on a train in about the same time of the year ( some where in NY coast I think ) , that's what it looked like ... I do not rembember the return trip as I was pretty hung over .... and would just as soon as forget that part of it but the trip down was spectacular indeed ( we were sober ) .
