    Greetings to all,

Received a message tonite that will be of intrest to all BNSF and ATSF fans.

The management of Willis Steel Corporation in Galesburg, Il. has set up a webcam on their website. <www.willissteel.com>. The camera is aimed at the Academy Street crossing of the old AT&SF mainline in Galesburg. This is two blocks west of the former Santa Fe Amtrak passenger station.

I am anxious for morning to come with its daylight so I can get a good view of what the camera shows. It seems to refresh every ten seconds or so and gives a broadside of trains (and cars) as they cross the crossing.
    Enjoy!

I will soon be posting information on the upcomming Galesburg Railroad Days Festival.
As of our last meeting the BNSF had not yet announced what equipment they plan to have on display for the festival. Dates: June 24 & 25.

At this time the Model Train and Railroadiana Show at Carl Sandburg College has 8 confirmed layouts and exhibits and 185 vendor tables. It looks like the Show will once again be a sellout.

There's only one thing you forgot to give us...

What's the url to the webcam you refer too?

I enjoy bookmarking any websites that have a real 1:1 webcam that take pix of trains!

So please don't keep that url a secret! Let us know what it is!

    Thanks!

Sorry bout that! The URL for the BNSF webcam in Galesburg. Il. is: <willissteel.com> pretty straightforward. You will then find the webcam listed on the lower left side of the screen.
I didn't list the url of the cam as one I did give is so short and simple.

I guess the URL did not show up in either message as I used brackets around it. Let's try it withour the brackets. www.willissteel.com

    How's this?

Thanks! Wouldn't have never found it since I wouldn't of even known how to write out the url for Willis Steel since I have no information on them. So I never would have found the url to their RR Web Cam.

Interesting webcam, but still think it's too early to see any good pix of trains at the time I visited, still looked dark and hazy outside, hopefully a bit later it'll be bright enough to actually be able to see the trains better. Will just have to try later in the day and see since their time may also be a couple or more hours different than where I am.

I must be blind. Using both Fire Fox and IE the only thing I see on the Willis Steel website is a menu with the following and a picture of a antique truck.

    • Our Catalogs
    • Manufacturers We Represent
    • HVAC Controls and Supplies
    • eMail
    • Who We Are
    • What's New
    • Sales Policy
    • Support
    • Specials and Close-Outs
    • Contests
    • Fun Stuff
Clicked on all the choices and did not find the Webcam. Will someone post the url to the webcam?

    Thanks
    Gary
