Hi, Some of you may remember me. I've been away from the hobby for a while concentrating on other projects that needed attending to while I was still able. Mainly building a vintage car from bits-n-pieces. Anyway, I'm now back and keen to get involved in N Scale again. So expect some pretty ordinary (dumb) questions from me and you never know, I might be able to contribute something too. Cheers, Rob
Its been a while...too long in fact. BUT this COVID-19 thing has some silver linings in its otherwise dark cloud. One being that I've semi mothballed my Vintage Cars and am now back into my modelling again. About a week ago I started building a curved trestle bridge. The area on my layout where its supposed to fit dictates that it'll be a long, but not very high bridge. In order to get the length needed I bought 2 Walthers Cornerstone kits several years ago. I've managed to modify the kits so they make one bridge and I'm now installing the approaches to it. I must say, I'm really enjoying myself and I wonder why I put off my return to N scaling for so long. Cheers, Rob
Hi, During the recent months I've been trying to find time on my layout. I will say that even though I have increased the amount of time I spend on it, by about 100%, I could easily double that if it wasn't for all of these #$@&^% domestic chores getting in the way. I've built a long curved trestle bridge and installed it. I finished off laying my main line and scenic line and more recently I managed to get all the track in my yard laid which means my track plan is now complete. I have a shipment of Blue Point controllers somewhere over the Pacific right now and as soon as they arrive I'll install them. Once all of that is done I can get back into the 3D stuff....foam....and lots of it. So its all happening at once. I cant wait to run my locos for the first time. Cheers, Rob PS; I'm about to place an order with "Trainjunkies" https://www.trainjunkies.com/ for several backdrops. Does anybody have experience with them or their product?
