Oh....wait......There might be some really really old stuff out there that isn't prototypical or anything, so there may actualy be a unit. I have seen alot of custom stuff done up for BC Rail, mostly rebuilt Con-CorRDCs. I know you asked about engines, but for cars I will point you to Atlas, and M/T. M/T just came out with a PGE 50' car awhile ago, depending on your era that may fit well with your 40 as these things lived on untill just a few years back.
