Upon moving to my present location, I was happy to see an ex PRR line running from Balt. north to Harrisburg on local maps. This was the old Northern Central main line. It ran through beautiful countryside and was only ten minutes from my house. Imagine my disappointment when I looked at it in person to find it abandoned. The rails were still there, but laying loosely, ready for the scrapping contractor. It is now a bike trail. If anybody has any stories, photos or other info they would like to share, I would appreciate it greatly. I have the book " The Story of the Northern Central Railway".It has been helpful, but pictures of the line still seem to be rare. Thanks, Rob ------------------ Trails to Rails!
