We have been doing pre-rebuild demo work on a house here, and my son found this, and two more items, in the walls. Blew me away!

This one is for a fella, E.O.Busch working the Sentinel Butte station.

It's like opening a time capsule. What I like is the handwritten entries - a real person used a pencil or pen and wrote something in their own, personal handwriting. A real, tangible connection to Mr. Busch, 84 years ago.

    Absolutely fantastic find. Treasure it.

I agree! I have a few things like this that all have a story with them. An NP/Amtrak conductors uniform, formerly owned by a friend, retired conductor. Lots of little things like that. Absolutely add to the fun of the hobby!

This is a beautiful shot of a fresh RF&P wood boxcar, in that same book from the Smithsonian.

This is a close up of the truck, which caught my attention. It resembles an arch bar, but appears to be cast iron. Very neat!

Almost looks experimental? I've never seen those.

Interesting to note all the stencils on it like the brakes, the couplers, even the type of handrails, etc.

These video's are form back when I was working at LRC in Livingston. At the time they were made I was heading up the MRL GP-9 rebuild.

So, you have to go to the original owners youtube page, but still a neat couple of older videos.

Always stinks a bit, when they do this stunt. It cannot be a bandwidth concern, as they same amount is used either way. So it must be just to force everyone to visit their site.
