I looked at it a little closes .. the problem appears to be that he is using M$ Word as the website editor .. never a good idea .. that explains the weird actions .. good straight HTML is always the best .. stay away from the fancy / cutesy stuff .
John, Mike is aware of the issues with using M$ Word 11 (aka 2003 Office) as a web creator and I have been working with him on creating a cross platform page for all to see and use. Even simplifying the page still creates far too much code for the end result using Word. As Charlie has pointed out, Mike has had other issues that have kept him away from rectifying the page problems but should be back to it soon.
