Anyone know what screws I can use to replace the frame screws that go into the hex nuts on split frames? Atlas seems to have run out...

They will *probably* work as Kato has made locos for Atlas in the past. I know it was a while ago when they did that but I don't think the frames/screws have changed since.

As near as I can tell, EVERYONE seems to use the same screws. I've found quite a few parts that are interchangeable between manufacturers........I'm guessing they all buy parts from various sub-contractors when they can.

Last time I looked for something that small Home Depot had it (nylon) so if you don't find the correct screw try them. The store here has them in small drawers. You might also think about finding the correct size nut and screw combo and replace both.

Just remember they have to be insulated, which is why the nut is nylon from the factory.

Don't forget or lose that nylon spacer ! You can't bolt the halves together without them ...unless releasing the 'Magic Smoke' is somehow desired. o_O:whistle::whistle::coffee::coffee:
