From 06/28/1991 at Pontiac, SC, CSX 463 is about 20 miles from the end of its run at Cayce, SC near Columbia. This was 70 MPH territory for Amtrak back then, a legacy of the SAL with superelevated curves and all.

Bought it new in 1979, was my daily driver for about 5 years, bought a house with a garage in 1990 and it has been garaged since that time - had the top replaced about 1995 or so, however I think the top has only been raises once or twice since the new top was installed. From 08/21/1998 northeast of Atlanta at Lawrenceville, GA. Former SAL main. Same day, same line at Athens, GA. A predecessor of the SAL opened the route in 1892.
From 10/26/2013 at McBee SC, CSX 463 is halfway along on her daily run between Hamlet, NC and Cayce (Columbia), SC. PSR brought an end to 463/464 and PTC wiped the site clean of the neat old SAL relay bungalow and SAL signals.
