When I was working in Richmond around four years ago(Stockton/Mormon Now) I recal seeing a ATSF 3 pack of autoracks. We not only switched them but took them over to be unloaded. It was a white car with blue lettering. I also saw a two pack. Like I said it was around four years ago, but being a foamer at work I know I saw it! Thanks and God Bless. Dave
Dave, r u SURE they were 3-packs? I was strongly admonished they only come in 2-packs. ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com
Ed, I still haven't developed my film from San Timoteo Canyon. And, I can't really say for sure I saw a 3-unit autorack. But if in fact I do have a 3-unit autorack photo, Watch out because the Napalm will fly. When I know I'm correct, I don't kitty foot around! ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com [This message has been edited by sd75mac (edited 05 July 2000).]
This post is for the benefit of "makinbaconline". As posted by you "sd75mac, i just told you the configuration. 2 racks put together. i know how they are i pull a train of them to chicago out of decatur il 1 to 2 times a week." Please follow this URL: http://www.qstation.org/atsf_im/atsf_im.html Now, tell me if YOU see a 3 unit autorack. Like I told you before, there are 3 unit 'racks . This directly contradicts what you so vehemently stated as being an absolute fact. ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com [This message has been edited by sd75mac (edited 05 July 2000).] [This message has been edited by sd75mac (edited 05 July 2000).]
i must say very cool pics of the santa fe triple crowns.do you guys in ca. see these a lot?do you have any pics of the polar bear bnsf triple crowns?i personally am hoping that deluxe innovations will do them.but in the defense of makinbacon the articulated auto racks that we haul out of illinois are all the two racks put together we do not see any of the triple ones.i think that model railroader had some pics of amtrak?dont quote me but i think they were five packs. did anyone else see that issue?and maybe with enough pics of this stuff we can get someone to manufacture them.well anyway have a good one. ------------------ those who know me know my sense of humor, dont take me seriously. bnfan99
ok now if i remember right we were talking about the ns ones not the sante fe you said you saw the ns and had pics but not developed and was not sure the configuration, well the NS ONES ARE JUST DOUBLES. i just got off of a train about 2 hrs ago full of them. ------------------ Norfolk Southern The Pack Mule of Transportation Mo-Pac RULES Heritage N-Scale Group, Joliet, Il.
Originally, I said I saw some outside of Daggett on the BNSF line, that I thought were 3 or 5 units. Then I spoke of NS units. ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com
