Would be cool if I had that kind of playing around money.

Good luck getting it out of that land-locked location.

The Seller has been active with wristwatches, skateboards, bicycle parts and a humidifier. Seems kind of weird to now market a locomotive. It's in McKee's Rocks, PA and is truly land-locked and will have to be trucked out if it's ever sold. Rots of Ruck on selling it.

Sure. I'll take ten of them. Just need to grab my check book, after it stops bouncing all across the room....

This reminds me of the time, back in 1990, the 0-6-0 steamer at the former Depot House restaurant (formerly the C&NW depot) in Rochester, MN was to be moved west to Tracy, MN to be displayed at a museum. They brought in a flat bed truck to haul it and I was watching.

I remember looking at the flat bed and wondering if they were aware of how much steam locomotives weigh, even if they are small ones like the 0-6-0. The loco was lowered down onto the trailer with a crane and the bed immediately went down to the ground. I wanted to laugh out loud but, out of deference, just laughed to myself.

They then brought a different, larger flat bed and it went down to within about 6" of the ground but they did manage to get it out of town. What happened after that, I don't know but they obviously, eventually got it to Tracy because, as far as I know, it's still there.

It still has the boiler jacket on, but the eccentric rods are missing. Good luck finding those, since the description says this is the last surviving example of the class.

Hey, I think they reduced the price -- now only $575,000.00.

The eccentric rods may have been removed intentionally, but hey,you can replace anything you can find a print for. Just takes a machine shop and lots of $$$. Relisted and reduced to $375,000. I'll take it as soon as I win the lottery.

I doubt that those who paid mucho dinero for a shelter for 643 would let her go after just 4 years. Or sell it on fleaBay for that matter - that is just not normal channels for that kind of transaction - it's not a car or a cheap watch. "Wanna buy a bridge?":sneaky:

And those photos look suspicious - none of them look like a recent digital photo suitable for advertising a sale. In fact, one of them looks like a crop from a scan of a grainy slide or negative! I have my DSLR since 2007 and it takes way better photos than that! Anyone with a phone can take better ones. Jeez, even my 7-year-old flip phone can take better ones!:ROFLMAO:

They don't even offer a test drive.:(
