Anyone recognize the manufacturer of this motor? One like it was found in a Tenshodo SD9 but it does not look like the Tenshodo motors in their catalog.

It works fine in the SD9 but it would be helpful to know its manufacturer.

It looks a lot like the motor Roundhouse put in their Shay kit, with a single output shaft.

    And welcome aboard!

Thanks for the follow-up. I found a picture of a Roundhouse Shay kit and I see that it has an open frame motor. But it is like the pitman motor design with the commutator and brushes on the output shaft side of the motor. The one I pictured above has the commutator and brushes on the magnet side of the motor. Very unusual from what I've found so far.

It resembles a motor that Bowser used to sell. Perhaps they could identify the manufacturer for you.
