FriscoBob:Funny thing, now due to both funky eyesight and a desire to get back into detailing models (something I never felt comfortable with in N), I'm back solidly in HO.

Odd but,my eyesight has weaken over the past seven to eight months and now I'm thinking over my options..I have always like to paint and decal freight cars, build loads, detail locomotives etc and that's some strong options in the plus column for HO..

I'm also a member of a HO club and can run my equipment there and maybe build a small play around HO switching layout..

I started modeling N in '74 and did so until the early 90's when I began acquiring some HO stuff. I then, again, built an N layout in '98 before going HOn3 in 2002. Now, I am back firmly in standard gauge HO even though I do buy a few N items that catch my attention (such as the V&O boxcars). Like several have posted, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

I prefer the size of HO and since I like to build kits, it's perfect for me. I sure hope my rubber-gauging days are over!
