I found a picture out there on the net of a B&O GP35 still running around out there...painted over of course but the starburst is still no the nose...no idea who owns it.

Another B&O fan here, too. Might even build a tiny B&O boxcab in N-scale, just for fun. :)

Another B&O fan here, a few months that this thread started. As a matter of fact I just ran some B&O on my layout cause I just picked up a pair of B&O GP9 TT.

There are more posts than showing at present. Ever since we discovered that glitch last June, a lot were dumped into one massive file. Sorting them back out as time allows.

    Hi Guys

Thought I should introduce myself as I have just joined up. You may have guessed my name is Lawrence, I'm based in Scotland and I have been reading up and doing some B&O modelling on and off for about 4 years now. I don't currently have a layout (collecting rolling stock) a previous incarnation had to be ripped up, I do have a new 8x6 garden shed which is where they new freelanced layout will be based, it will be a 2 tier affair with a Japanese layout on the top tier and my B&O stuff on the bottom (wider) tier.

Hopefully with the weather turning milder (we did have 4 inches of snow yesterday though) I will be able to get out in the shed and get some stuff done soon. Looking forward to learning more about the B&O from you guys, and if I'm not on here you mill find me over on ngaugeforum.co.uk where I try to keep people like me in check:tb-biggrin:

Welcome aboard. I'm just a casual B&O modeler (N scale) though it was the line that was near me as I grew up, though by that time it was Chessie System.

Since I hired out on the B&O in 1965 I have been playing with it in 1:1 scale ever since.

I'm a B&O (and affiliates) fan. I grew up in Ohio with relatives in Baltimore, so it seems natural to me. My N-Scale layout is B&O (with some Chessie) and my Christmas Lionel is a Chesepeake & Ohio steam.

Dyed in the wool B&O fan here. We lived close to the Ohio River sub just north of Huntington, WV for four years (1968-72). Mostly F's and Geeps but I think every four-axle in the fleet passed by here either going to or heading back from the shops (I suppose). Dad spent 22 years as an operator and dispatcher for C&O but occasionally he worked at the "cabin (C&O-speak for "tower") that handled the limited B&O traffic. Many a time he told me he had to almost yell into the speaker so the Grafton dispatcher could hear him!

I have a number of photos, mostly from the 1978-80 era, and will try to post these on this site soon.
