Yeah, we are interested in all kinds of railroad stuff! Welcome to the Trainboard! :D

Are you the guy who made the 4-8-8-4 Big Boy in "G" scale? I only saw one fuzzy photo of it, so if it is yours, please post some photos of it and your railroad! My wife bought some "G" scale rolling stock, but we really are not setup where we could put it out in the yard yet.

    hey steve

welcome aboard over here. unfortunately there's almost no g scale traffic over here. we probably better stay with the mylargescale and aristo forums....

how are your new dash 9's in g scale doing?
i just traded for a new used mint in box sd45 in seaboard system one of my favorite roads. detailed air hoses and breaking in got about 8 hrs on it so far!

both of my aristo dash-9 run absolutely flawless at any speed. had way more problems with my 4 sd45...

i had plans to get an undecorated dash-9 and paint it to look like a cp rail ac4400. but due to some rather nasty changes here in the company i will have to cease any investment in g scale. shi* happens. however, i might be able to stay with n and g scale. also i will continue to contribute to g scale forums.

i have 4 sd45 which all run nice and slow. since i have no other aristo units (except the dash-9) i am not able to do any comparisons. otherwise i would have replied to your post on the aristo and/or mylargescale forum.

if i remember right you are not able to lift the loco using both hands. are you able to remove the two power bricks ? might be interesting to run them individually. i assume one of the two has a binding inside or a broken motor.

would this be away to locate the problem ?
