Looking for comments on American S Gauge track. I'm possibly switching from O Scale (3rail) to S Scale. I've purchased a number of S-Helper cars and Locos..NYC F3 AB set and will begin putting a layout together. I have some of the S-Trax from S-Helper and I like the feel and look, but they are somewhat limited (so far) in what they offer. I've found American S Gauge as an alternate but have a hard time finding dealers who carry it or that I could actually see what the stuff is. I like to touch and feel something before I buy it. Here's my current layout: KFNRR Website Any help, comments, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Charlie
Hi Charlie, Welcome to S. Are you planning on running Scale or AF compatible? I have seen the American S gauge track on the web. It looks like it is aimed for those who want to run American Flyer and the new stuff being offered. Here is a web page for you to look at http://www.classictrains.com/ Take a look at this web page too: http://www.trainweb.org/crocon/sscale.html The second one has a lot to read. What era are you aiming for? With the NYC F-3's, you should have a good selection to choose from to add to your empire. Tells us more and again, welcome to S. Greg Elems
