A2 Models http://www.a2models.nl/webshop/index.php?action=page&group_id=27&lang=EN has joined Z scale with some incredible automobiles! I just received eight different autos and they are fantastic. The only drawback is that their tires are solid across the bottom (a quick filing will correct that) and they are scaled at 1:200 but the scale difference is negligible. Their current line is basically 1950s and 1960s and come unpainted. Prices are very reasonable, delivery is fast, great service and English communication via email, easy to use web site and payment options that include PayPal.

    Enjoy,

    John

    Very nice!
It's good to see more automobiles from the steam era in Z, instead of more delivery trucks, garbage trucks, etc.

They said they would do other scales. At least that is what is on their website. I know there is not much difference between Z and 1/200 scale, but, there is a difference. I wrote them a nice letter asking if they could make their cars in 1/220 scale. Still waiting for reply.

They said they would do cars in 1/220! They will print them in grey to distinguish them from the 1/200 sale architectural models. Grey will be good so you don't have to paint the windshields!

As most of you know, A2Models is closing shop. They still have quite a few Z Scale cars left for sale, and what remains is 20% off, so I ordered 16 cars that could be used in my modeling efforts. They took a while to show, but I have them now:

They were from 3D printed masters, very well cast in resin, and as you can see, some are gray, and some are yellow, but they all look good enough to my eyes to be used as foreground models.

There are a surprising selection of models from these automotive brands:

    Alfa Romeo
    Alpine
    Amphicar
    Aston Martin
    Austin
    Bedford

    BMW
    Borgward
