These wagons have two six wheel bogies each end making 24 wheels per car.

The pushing locomotive. We could feel the heat emanating from the torpedos as they were alongside, this was welcome on a cold day!

All Corus shunters have radio control capability. The radio control box can be seen around the neck of the driver in the cab of this loco

This tour was operated by the Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society, based within the complex. The tour was organised by and for members of the DEMU forum (Diesel & Electric Modellers United). Several forum members main interest is wagons and they had a field day!

I took over 200 photographs on the tour, some members took close to one thousand! The tour only cost each of us £10.00 (ten UK pounds), so was superb value. :)

Yes Simon, we saw the two class 20's, but one was right next to our train and I only got a shot of the long bonnet, the other was a long way off and I just got a shot of the cab end on, on max telephoto.

For what they are worth, here they are.

Before the trip I was told that Corus were to have some brand new shunters built. So after the tour I was chatting with one of the crew and asked about them. he said that Corus are building the locos on site and also hope to sell some abroad. The first ones are going to the South Wales site.

    This link explains all http://www.taurusit.co.uk/railcraft/Case_Studies/index_Industrial_Loco.htm

Looks like they are to do a complete range using modular components.

    Alan,

Thanks for showing us something outside of North America. These shots are great, and the descriptions you give really bring it alive.

This kind of thing is really a credit to Trainboard!

    Looks like a rock band.

Does anyone make these trucks in N? I know they are British, but I think they look cool.

Cool-looking locomotive. What is it (looks like a GE export)?

Haven't found out yet what make the locomotives are, but the staff member I was talking to thinks they have Rolls Royce engines.

The 0-6-0's were made by Yorkshire Engine Co. I think.
