This past Friday, March 15th, the former WCTU Railway Company officially became the Rogue Valley Terminal Railroad. I've known his parents a long time and they are quite proud. This young man could go a long way in railroading. http://www.railwayage.com/index.php...eer-rides-american-dream-to-a-short-line.html
I'll be darned! I didn't even know there was a railroad in White City! I'll have to look that one up next time I go up there to have my car serviced.
Quite a leap of faith. I hope all goes well and he owns (and runs) a prosperous railroad. Wouldn't we all like to have one of our own?
I should have noted the sale was actually in December, but the company name change did not take place until the date I mentioned above. He has not as yet left his current job with CN. That move is tentatively later this year. The RR is currently being managed by the two RVT employees. He does aspire to more than just this, and he is the type of ambitious young man who will go after those dreams.
