Hi Guys,.....I'm starting a brand new layout and at the suggestion of Watash.....
thanks Watash......I'm going to post some photos of my layout as I progress. My Grandpa was a conductor on The New York Central RR and passed his love of trains along to me, so I've had HO trains since my teens.....don't anyone ask....
........some of my engines are all metal.
Layouts in the past were set up on 4X8
plywood. Now I'm opting for open construction
in a space of 11' X 13'. The first task was to clean up the basement, paint the floor,
and install a ceiling. We're coming along though it will be some time before I begin to lay track.

I need to learn how to post photos.

Posted for Linda, showing the start of her new basement layout. She is installing sheet rock and lights, and has a start on her bench work.

I think Linda is on vacation right now, Sticky, but If I remember right, she said the layout is to be 11' x 13'. Here are some of her engines:

This is an old Metal Varney Dockside switcher. It has been packed and unpacked a lot so is a bit worse for wear. The NYC F-7 (next photo) is the companion to this Dockside, and she tells me she will re-paint them when time permits.

These are some other F-7's a Penn 0-4-0 with slope back tender, sitting on the Tru-Scale wood roadbed in back, and what may be a Norfolk Southern DEEZUL GUZZLER in black. Linda can tell what the others are when she gets back.
